We always laugh at how we meet so now we will let everyone in on the story if you don't already know it. It was one July night and he was working (he is a Deputy for Aiken County and I am a volunteer firefighter with Langley Fire Dept) and my pager went off as I was heading home to my parents house. I debated on whether to go or not but it was a call close to home. It went out as a pedistration hit by a car on 421 and Huber Clay Rd. So I responded POV. As I arrived on scene the police were already there along with some guys from the department. The patient was intoxicated and very beligerant so I wasn't gonna bother with him. I let the guys handle it. I then started the report for the call well we didn't have a pen in our clipboard on the truck and I couldn't find one so I had to borrow one from this very charming officer who I have probably seen 100 times and never paid much attention too. He said here you can use my pen and I said thanks I will be sure to get it back to you as we smilled at each other. I took the pen and did the report then handed him back the pen and we left and headed back to the station. As I was finishing the report and going out in the bay to put it in the box not thinking much about the cute cop I saw, he walked in the door to the station as I was walking into the bay. I was like wow he came down here but I just figured it was to get some information or something. Come to find out he came down to see if i was still there. After all of us sitting around the station talking until about 1am he had another call and I was tired and decided to go home. When I got home I couldn't help but think would I ever see him again so I got on trusty Facebook and found him on there. Sadly though when I found him, his profile pic was him and a girl. I was like dang he has a gf but I sent him a friend request anyway. He quickly accepted the request and sent me a message with his number. I then send him my number, not gonna be the first to call of text just in case that was his gf in the pic. He texted me a few mins later and we talked just about all night. I could tell then he was a great guy. But I was right he did have a gf. I told him I had just got out of a bad relationship and wasn't looking for anything anyway but I was still sad about it bc he was soo sweet. We talked for a while hung out a few times and he broke up with his gf and we started dating. We quickly grew very fond of each other and saw each other just about everyday. One thing led to another and here we are almost a year later. We offically started dating on Aug. 08, 2010 and he proposed on Jan. 01, 2011 and of course I said yes. It was all pretty quick but we couldn't be happier with each other. |
